The Barrow report

The Week In Care

As a children’s services organisation with a growing community, we want to use our platform to promote a resource to keep us all informed about what is in the news in our sector. The Week In Care is a compilation of all the stories featured about children’s services that week. Martin Barrow is a journalist with knowledge of the care system as a long-standing foster carer. With his weekly bulletins, he has been keeping our organisation up to date with articles and information all about the happenings in children’s services.

These weekly bulletins have been invaluable to our team. Without them, we would be either far less knowledgeable about the sector in which we work, or we’d lose valuable time digging for these articles ourselves. There are only so many hours in the day!

The good, as well as the not so good

Martin’s motivation in providing this newsletter is to raise awareness for what is happening around the country, which he describes as “the good, as well as the not so good”. Not only does his free weekly newsletter give a roundup of what is happening up and down the country, he curates a consistent and reliable twitter feed that we also highly recommend  @MartinBarrow

Thank you very much for your work, Martin, we hope your work continues to support a growing number of people throughout the sector!

If you’d like to also receive this newsletter all you have to do is email “Sign meup!” to weekincare@gmail.com for the weekly bulletin.
