North Yorkshire reaches an incredible milestone of 10,000 voices heard!

This week, North Yorkshire Children’s Services and Youth Justice reached an incredible milestone of 10,000 statement sent through Mind of My Own.

That’s 10,000 moments where a child or young person has had the opportunity to share how they feel, ask for support, raise concerns, or simply know that their voice matters.

Behind every statement is a conversation that may not have happened otherwise. A young person feeling listened to. A practitioner gaining a better understanding. A voice being heard.

Alongside Mind of My Own, practitioners play an essential role in making this possible every day. From building trusted relationships to acting on what young people share, their work helps ensure children feel supported, involved and listened to through their journey.

We’re incredibly proud to support North Yorkshire and the thousands of practitioners who continue to create spaces where children and young people feel safe, empowered and involved in decisions about their lives.

Reaching 10,000 voices heard is something truly special, and we’d like to say a huge congratulations to everyone involved.

A comment from North Yorkshire Children’s Services and Youth Justice:

“I am thrilled about this, it is so important that we listen to children and hear their voice. Mind of My Own is so simply and really empowers children to let us know what they are thinking at whatever time suits them, sharing thoughts, how they are feeling happy, sad, cross, achieving. Practitioners then respond in a timely way and let children know we have heard you, we are here, we will respond. Thank you Mind of My Own, this is about making a difference.”
