Showcasing Mind Of My Own
Recently some of the Mind Of My Own team were at the Business Design Centre in London attending the Tes SEN Show. This is a well established special educational needs exhibition and the largest of its kind in the UK. The show provides an excellent platform for companies to showcase their latest products, resources and services for the sector. It is an ideal environment for SEN professionals across all levels, as well as parents, to peruse the stalls and gain direct access to innovations offered throughout the exhibition. A few weeks before the show we released new versions of both Mind Of My Own apps and we were pleased to see so much genuine interest from teachers, carers and support staff .
Great conversations
As ever, with any event there is great value in meeting like minded people and having useful dialogue. We had some really great conversations with delegates about how we can make sure children’s voices are heard in the education setting. The TES SEN Show provided the perfect environment to demonstrate and discuss how our apps can be best used to gather children’s views. Teachers and other education professionals were particularly interested in the ability of Express to capture the views and wishes of young children and those with learning difficulties. It is heartening to know that children whose authentic voices have not always been heard will be enabled to express themselves.
We’ll be back!
It has been a busy two weeks since the event, following up on all the interest that was shown and continuing the conversations. This is a show not to be missed, we will definitely be back next year!
