About Our Events
Whether in-person or online, our events are designed to be interactive, informative and fun. Mind Of My Own offers free learning and practice events to everyone in our community, ranging over contemporary issues in safeguarding, wellbeing, children’s and young people’s participation and specialist topics such as neuro-diversity. Independent experts are joined by front line practitioners from schools, social care and health, to share the latest knowledge and ideas in lunch and learn sessions, regional forums and afternoon webinars.
Child Protection Forum
Our regular child protection forums welcome top experts from within and outside of the Mind Of My Own community to share their expertise and experiences of improving children’s participation in safeguarding.
Tea and Talk
Throughout the year we offer webinars especially tailored to schools and colleges: knowing how busy our education colleagues’ diaries are, these ‘Tea and Talk’ sessions are designed to fit snugly into the working day.
VoxCon, is the annual event for our Mind Of My Own community, where we network, learn from one another and share best practice. Whether in person or online, this is the most highly anticipated event in the Mind Of My Own calendar, don’t miss it!
For in-person events it’s hard to beat these regional forums, when we meet up with colleagues from social care to problem-solve together the challenges and opportunities presented by children’s participation.
