World Social Work Day: Celebrating Our Community

< 1 min read

At Mind My Own, we cater to two primary groups: social workers and children. Our apps are created not only to empower and safeguard young individuals but also to support the hardworking children’s services that care for them.

Today marks World Social Work Day, a day to celebrate the amazing individuals and teams within our community who tirelessly work to elevate the voices of children and young people under their care. Throughout the years, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with seasoned social workers across the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Their unwavering dedication continues to inspire us, fostering enduring relationships not only with individuals but also with entire teams, services, and organizations.

Social workers play a vital role in amplifying the voices of children and young people in care. Through our involvement in various CPD sessions, forums, and events, we’ve witnessed firsthand the remarkable efforts of social workers in our community to support vulnerable children.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including administrative and financial burdens, social workers remain committed to their primary mission of supporting children and young people. That’s why Mind My Own is dedicated to providing tools and solutions that streamline administrative tasks, save time, and facilitate early safeguarding measures, thus aiding these professionals in their invaluable work.

As one social worker aptly stated, “An invaluable tool to have in our professional toolkit. I would not be without it. It enables and empowers young people to find their voice.”

So today and everyday we’re extending our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated social workers who tirelessly strive to create a brighter and more inclusive future for children and young people – thanks for all that you do!
